District court, Nov 26, 2014

Anthony J. Kilker
SHENANDOAH — Two borough men charged with breaking into the Shenandoah Valley High School on Oct. 26 waived their rights to preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker.
James Holloman, 18, of 222 E. Centre St., and Javier E. Jiminez, 20, of 436 W. Centre St., were arrested by Shenandoah police Patrolman Joseph Mozdy and charged with felony burglary and criminal trespass and misdemeanor offenses of institutional vandalism, corruption of minors and loitering and prowling at night.
By waiving their rights to hearings, both men will now have to answer to all of the charges against them in Schuylkill County Court.
Mozdy said police were called to the school at 805 W. Centre St. for a burglar alarm about 4 a.m. and found an open ground-level window near the main entrance to the building.
Inside the room where the window was broken, Mozdy said officers found a desk valued at $140 that had been broken.
The investigation, which involved viewing school security cameras and speaking to an individual who was aware of the crime, determined that the two said they were going to “trash the place and see if there was money in the cafeteria.”
Mozdy said that when Jimenez and Holloman triggered the alarm system, they fled toward the bottom parking lot and hid in the bushes.
